To the men and women of the Western armed forces, protecting our shared values and freedoms across the launch markets and all the Nordic countries, thank you. This discount is built first in your honour. And because readiness is the daily work of so many who serve, we extend the same 15% off any RainWillCome tier to police, firefighters, paramedics and EMS, nurses, and teachers. Same rate, equal respect.
Open to those currently serving, reserves, the honourably retired, and, for the armed forces, currently-serving partners and dependants. One simple verification by email: we do not store ID images on our servers, we do not use paid third-party verification, and we follow each country's rules about what may safely be shared.
Read this before you send anything, your operational security
For service members, an ID is sensitive. Protect yourself by following these steps every time, the rules differ by country, so check the country-specific note below as well.
- Send the least that proves it. Name, photo, and service/force are enough. Never send more than we ask for.
- Black out everything that identifies you administratively, service or personnel number, national ID, date of birth, home address, barcodes, and the entire back of the card. Redact before you take the photo where you can.
- Obey your own country's rules. Some countries forbid photographing a military ID at all, if so, use one of the alternative proofs listed for your country below, never the card.
- Use a private connection. Send from your own device on a trusted network, not shared or public Wi-Fi.
- We delete it. The image is removed from our inbox within 48 hours of review. It never enters our database, and we never forward it.

Who qualifies
Armed forces, the honored headline of this programme:
- Active or reserve members of the US Armed Forces.
- Honourably-discharged veterans.
- Currently-serving spouse, partner, or registered domestic partner.
- Dependant children listed on the member's defence household record.
And the same 15%, with equal respect, for the frontline and public services:
- Police officers and constabulary.
- Firefighters.
- Paramedics and ambulance / EMS crews.
- Registered nurses.
- Teachers.
What to send
Pick the one easiest for you. Send a photo (a phone snap is fine) by email to military@rainwillcome.com. Reply within 48 hours from the RainWillCome team.
Armed forces, one of these, redacted per the OpSec steps above:
- A photo of your US uniformed services ID card (CAC, DD Form 2, USID) with the photo + first name + service branch visible, black out the social, DoD ID number, edge codes, and the back fully.
- A copy of your DD-214 (member 4) with social, service number, and address blacked out (for veterans).
- A VA / VHIC card photo with the social masked.
- A government VerifyPass / ID.me / SheerID confirmation email (we accept these when you already have them).
Police, fire, EMS, nurses, teachers, your official service ID with name + photo + organisation visible (ID number and address blacked out), or a recent employment / registration confirmation letter on official letterhead. The same redaction rules apply.
What happens after you send it
- We verify the proof against the issuing authority's public guidance for that country.
- We reply with your one-time discount code within 48 hours (often the same day).
- We delete the attached image from our inbox within 48 hours of review. No copy is retained.
- The discount applies to whichever tier you subscribe to. It renews at the same rate for as long as you stay subscribed.

Common questions
Is sending my military ID safe?
We only ask for proof you can legally share, and we ask you to redact the fields that identify you administratively (service number, social, personnel number, home address). We delete the image from our inbox the moment verification is complete. No copy is retained on our servers; the image never enters our database. If a country's rules forbid sharing a particular card, we list a different proof option for that country above.
Why not use ID.me or SheerID like other discount sites?
Those are excellent services and we may integrate one post-launch. They charge per verification, which we cannot yet absorb at RainWillCome's pre-revenue scale. The manual email path costs the user one extra step, costs us a few minutes per request, and keeps your data out of a third party's system entirely.
Does the discount apply to family-plan members?
Yes, once you are verified, the discount applies to the tier you subscribe to including the family-plan extension. Other members on your family plan inherit the household tier; we do not need to verify each member individually.
I am not in a launch country yet, what do I do?
We add markets as we go. Email military@rainwillcome.com with your country and force, we may already have the guidance, and your request helps us prioritise the next additions.
How long does the discount last?
For as long as you stay subscribed. Renewals carry the same rate. If your status changes (you leave service, for example), the discount keeps applying: once we've verified you, you're honoured permanently.
