Legal

Everything legal, in one place.

Plain language, honest about what RainWillCome is and is not. The short version of the disclaimer: official local authorities always take precedence over anything you find here, and nothing on this site is binding.

Legal disclaimer

The disclaimer.

The original disclaimer text, retained for reference. The full Terms of Service above supersedes anything here. Last updated 2026-05-11.

  1. What RainWillCome is

A web-based household readiness tool that aggregates and reframes advice from official emergency-management sources into a personalised plan for households of every kind. We are an organising platform, not first responders, professional emergency planners, lawyers, doctors, or your local authority.

  2. Sources

Recommendations are drawn from publicly available official sources including (but not limited to) the US Department of Homeland Security (Ready.gov), the National Fire Protection Association, the American Red Cross, the UK Government Cabinet Office, the Israeli Home Front Command, the Japanese Cabinet Office for Disaster Management, and the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism. The current source list is at /sources and is updated as our recommendations evolve. Where rigorous guidance exists in one jurisdiction but not another (e.g., rocket-attack protocols from the Israeli Home Front Command, drone-attack guidance from Ukrainian sources, earthquake protocols from Japan), we may adapt that guidance for users in other countries, always within the bounds of, and deferring to, local official guidance.

  3. No professional relationship

Using RainWillCome does not create any professional, advisory, fiduciary, medical, legal, or first-responder relationship between you and RainWillCome. Nothing on this site is professional advice for your specific situation.

  4. Local authorities take precedence

When official local authorities issue guidance, instructions, alerts, or evacuation orders, those always supersede anything in your RainWillCome plan. If you receive an instruction from emergency services, the police, civil defence, the fire department, or any other authority with jurisdiction over you, follow that instruction.

  5. Active emergencies

RainWillCome is for preparation, not response. In an active emergency, contact your local emergency number first.

  6. No guarantees

Risk landscapes change. Building codes, infrastructure, climate, and geopolitical risks vary by location and over time. Our recommendations may be incomplete, out of date, or unsuitable for your specific situation. We do not guarantee that following our plan will prevent harm or property loss.

  7. Use your own judgement

You know your household, your home, your medical conditions, and your local context. We don't. If something in our plan doesn't make sense for you, don't do it. If you think you need something we don't cover, don't assume we covered it.

  8. No liability

RainWillCome publishes general preparedness information; it is not professional, medical, legal, or emergency advice, and using it does not create a professional or advisory relationship. Nothing in this disclaimer limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by the law applicable to you, RainWillCome BV (KvK 42138295) is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the information provided through this service. You remain responsible for your own decisions and for following the instructions of your local authorities and emergency services.

  9. Translations

When translated versions of this site exist, the English version is authoritative. If a translation differs from the English text, the English text governs.

  10. Updates

This disclaimer may be updated as the service evolves. Continued use of RainWillCome after material updates constitutes acceptance.
